Sea moss is a spiny sea vegetable similar to seaweeds and sea algae. Sometimes called Irish moss, Irish sea moss, or by its scientific name, Chondrus crispus, sea moss is a frilly sea vegetable similar to other types of edible seaweed, such as nori, kelp, wakame, and kombu.

Sea moss is a specific type of red algae that is naturally rich in nutrients. It contains 92 of the 102 minerals that make up the human body such as magnesium, iodine, iron, folate, calcium, and vitamins. Our sea moss from St Lucia is wild grown and hand harvested from the warm waters of the Caribbean sea that surround the island. It's dried in the sun after harvest to preserve until use.
